Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has accused China of supporting Russia with weapons in its war against Ukraine. He stated that the Ukrainian intelligence service and the Security Service of Ukraine have found evidence of artillery and gunpowder shipments originating from China. Zelenskyy made the remarks during a press conference held in Kyiv.
Ukrainian Intelligence Links China to Weapons Production
According to Zelenskyy, Chinese representatives are allegedly involved in the direct production of weapons on Russian territory. Authorities in Kyiv plan to release further details about the alleged supply routes and production connections next week. The president emphasized Ukraine’s readiness to provide full transparency once investigations are completed.
China Claims Neutrality but Supports Russia
China officially maintains that it is neutral in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. However, since 2022, Beijing has supported Moscow through diplomatic channels and economic partnerships. Western countries have repeatedly expressed concern over the growing relationship between China and the Kremlin.
