Tesla’s $40 Tesla Bot Action Figure, which features more than 40 individual parts and 20 points of articulation, has sold out in under 24 hours. The toy, which comes with a charging stand and a “CyberHammer” accessory, offers fans a miniature version of the highly anticipated humanoid robot.

Elon Musk first revealed the Tesla humanoid robot in 2021, promising a 5-foot, 8-inch AI assistant. However, instead of the full-sized robot, Tesla has launched a 7-inch action figure modeled after the future machine.

Released on Saturday, the action figure sold out quickly, as reported by Teslarati, a publication that tracks Tesla and SpaceX news. As of Monday, it remains out of stock, and customers can only sign up for alerts when it’s restocked.

Tesla describes the action figure as “Your mini autonomous assistant and humanoid friend.” This 1:10 scale collectible is designed with over 40 detailed parts and 20 points of articulation, making it highly poseable and closely resembling Tesla’s upcoming Gen 2 humanoid robot.

Along with the figure, buyers receive a charging stand and a “CyberHammer” accessory.

    Resale Prices Skyrocket

Currently, the only way to purchase the Tesla Bot Action Figure is through resale platforms like eBay, where prices range from $130 to $1,300—significantly higher than the original $40 price.

It is unclear when customers who purchased the action figure directly from Tesla will receive their orders or when the toy will be restocked. USA TODAY reached out to Tesla for comment on Monday but has not received a response.

When Will Tesla’s Humanoid Robots Be Released?

Elon Musk shared in Tesla’s July 23 earnings call that the company plans to begin limited production of its Optimus humanoid robot in early 2025. Initially, these robots will be used internally at Tesla to work through any issues. Musk expects several thousand Optimus robots to be operational at Tesla factories by the end of 2025, with mass production ramping up in 2026. At that point, the second version of the robot will be available for external customers.
