Dozens of people are reported injured after a truck struck a bus stop in what authorities suspect may be a deliberate attack in central Israel.

At least four individuals are in serious condition, with others still trapped under debris at the site in Glilot, just north of Tel Aviv.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, which local media are reporting as a possible attack. Israeli television showed police cordoning off the area while emergency personnel tended to the injured, with a helicopter hovering overhead.

“Emergency services received a report at 10:08 AM regarding a truck hitting a bus stop on Aharon Yariv Boulevard in Ramat Hasharon,” said Israel’s emergency services in a statement. “MDA EMTs and paramedics are on-site providing medical treatment to dozens of casualties.”

The statement noted that among the injured, four are in serious condition, two are moderately injured, and four have sustained minor injuries.
